Now that Boutique Hotel Luz da Lua is running at full speed, Alaciny & Geert are pursuing a new entrepreneurial dream at Praia Pé Esquerdo, near the old airport of Ponta do Sol — the only white sand beach on Santo Antão. At this unique location, they are currently shaping a future beach club, a project still very much in creation and gradually coming to life.
The concept is rooted in experiential and sustainable tourism, with the ambition of creating a place where visitors and the local community naturally come together. The beach club is envisioned as an open and welcoming space where guests and locals can meet, learn from one another and create new stories together — a place where tourism does not alienate, but connects. No fleeting visits, but slow moments by the sea: tasting local flavours, sharing stories, listening to music and following the rhythm of the ocean.
The future Beach Club Luz da Lua will embody barefoot luxury: simplicity, quality and respect for the natural beauty of Santo Antão. With ocean views, fresh dishes, sunset drinks and room to slow down, this place invites you to experience the island in its purest form.
In addition, the beach club will also offer massages and wellness treatments. Alaciny further developed her expertise through training in Belgium, combining this new knowledge with her background as a nurse. Caring for people thus remains the common thread — attention to body and mind, embedded in a relaxed, natural seaside setting.
